Maid-san wa Taberu dake

Two shows with girls eating good food and having a good time, their plots differ but they keep true to their nature of being relaxing shows watching girls chilling out and eating food. Two shows you shouldn't watch on an empty stomach! 

Both shows have a cute (almost) clueless protagonist, who's quite enticing to watch interact with their world. 

Similar chill vibes. A lot of focus on the food recipe and preparation itself, sometimes even mentioning some dishes' history and stuff. Instead of Shirou, we have a maid doing it all. 

Slice of life gourmet shows where the main premise is just girls eating good food. Their plots differ where Maid-san is about a maid staying in Japan due to the collapse of the mansion she is a maid at in the UK and discovers Japanese food, enjoying it to the fullest whereas Maiko-san is about Maiko in training and eating good food too made by the MC. Their styles are quite different where Maid-san is pretty normal and a bit moe in terms of how it presents itself whereas Maiko-san is a very very onbrand NHK-type feeling show, very quaint and very wabi-sabi. If you enjoyed one where they have a good time eating, the other one is definitely recommendable! read more
